Q • What is a “state?” What characteristics must a “state” have to be a “state?” What is “government?” Can a society exist without a “government?” Is group solidarity contingent on the existence of a “state” of “government?”
According to me, the state is a political organization which is a compulsory one that has a centralized government that has maximum power to use force that is legal within a particular geographical territory. This state must have a government to look into matters and also there should be the division of powers so that people at every level of hierarchy could be reached. The state should have the power to enforce laws and ensure that they are being followed and should take care of the welfare of its people in the area. A state must have these characteristics to be a state.
